Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Mini Makers, Little Makers, and Makers groups?
These are age-based groups:

  • Mini Makers: For toddlers around 2 to 4 years old (not yet in kindergarten). Activities focus on fine motor skills, sensory play, and process art.

  • Little Makers: For kids in kindergarten to around 7 years old. They explore more advanced materials like clay, build scissor skills, and engage in creative projects.

  • Makers: For kids aged 8 and up. Projects are more advanced and include papier-mâché, decoden, sewing, and more.

Each session is tailored to the developmental level of the group.

How do I book a class?
All classes are listed under the Book Online tab. They are organized by age group and day of the week. Each class has a detailed description.

How do I know what crafts or activities the Makers will do each week?
Follow Craftivity on Instagram for daily and weekly updates on upcoming lessons. While a curriculum is planned, kids are encouraged to share their ideas and wishes, which are incorporated into the sessions.

Can I book one class instead of the whole semester?
Absolutely! Craftivity offers flexible booking. You can book individual classes or save by booking an entire quarter. Quarters follow the Küsnacht school calendar (e.g., from the start of school to Fall Break).

Does Craftivity offer party entertainment?
Yes! Craftivity provides party and birthday entertainment at external locations. Starting in November, Craftivity will also have its own venue available for hosting parties. Stay tuned for updates!

How do birthday parties work?
To inquire about a birthday party, please use the contact form and include your preferred dates, theme, and budget. We’ll create custom ideas based on your input and send you a personalized quote. Craftivity parties are fully customized and designed to be as unique as each child. Prices are calculated per child rather than a flat rate.

Where is Craftivity located?

Craftivity’s primary space is the Neighborhood Studio, though we occasionally host special workshops at Pip Squeak Toy Shop.

What are Craftivity’s opening hours?

Our hours vary based on the quarterly class schedule. Currently, classes are offered on Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings and afternoons, Friday afternoons, and Saturday mornings

How far in advance do I need to book a class? Can I book one the day of?

Registration closes the evening before each session (typically by 8:00 PM).  However, feel free to send a message and see if there are any openings if you would like to attend.
